Message from the Clerk of Court Regarding Scheduling

The below message regarding scheduling matters with the Waukesha County Circuit Court is from Monica Paz, Interim Clerk of Circuit Court:

As Courts have started to stack their calendars, staff in a number of divisions have attempted to get matters scheduled with a majority accomplished via email.  Unfortunately, a number of attorneys/parties are not responding in a timely fashion or not at all. To reduce additional attempts made by staff, we will be including default language (see language below) that would go with every email that has the main purpose of scheduling/rescheduling. This will be a good reminder for all parties that will help our staff have some guidance on scheduling/rescheduling.  We appreciate the peace of mind it will provide our staff to complete their tasks and move on to other work versus constantly waiting for parties to respond to a scheduling inquiry.

“Please advise the Court which of the date(s) and time(s) listed above work according to your calendar.  When responding, “Reply All”, to ensure that your matter is calendared in an efficient manner.  Failure to respond within 72 business hours will result in the Court scheduling the matter accordingly.  In addition, the Court will respond back to the initial email notifying all parties of the date and time that was selected.”
