Inclement Weather Closure 01/23/2026 & Essential Hearing Schedule

From Waukesha County Clerk of Courts Monica Paz:

County Executive Paul Farrow has announced that Waukesha County facilities will be closed tomorrow, January 23, 2026, due to extremely low temperatures and wind chills.  Based on this decision, all calendars will be rescheduled with the exception of the essential hearings below:

• Lockups = The duty judge will handle these similar to the Riversides done on the weekends and holidays.
• Mental Commitments = If an emergency detention hearing is needed when the courthouse is closed it will be held at the normal time (Mon-Fri at 11:00am) via zoom.  The hearing will be conducted with the juvenile judge and their court reporter (vs the commissioner).
• Juvenile Detentions = If a TPC is needed when the courthouse is closed it will be held at the normal time (Mon-Thurs at 1:30pm, Fri at 10:30am) via zoom.  The hearing will be conducted with the juvenile judge and their court reporter (vs the commissioner).
