Welcome from the new WCBA President!

I am privileged to now say “Hello!” to you as President of the Waukesha County Bar Association for the 2022-2023 year.  I wanted to take a quick moment to introduce myself and the Board of Directors to our new and returning members, and offer what I hope to be some useful information going into this year.

Attached here is a current Directory, which provides contact information for the Officers and Directors, as well as our District 6 Representatives to the State Bar of Wisconsin.  The WCBA does not have an administrative assistant at this time, so please feel free to reach out to waukeshabar@gmail.com with any questions or concerns.  Either I, or another Board Member, will personally respond.

Membership for the current year (July 1, 2022 – June 30, 2023) can be renewed online through our website, or via paper application form.  While we were hoping to have all the kinks of this website worked out before the start of this year, unfortunately there are still some technical glitches.  We apologize for the frustrations many of you have faced when renewing online.  Please know we are going to work hard to make it a more user-friendly experience going forward.

In the next couple of weeks, the Board will begin setting dates and planning for this year’s events, including the Ethics Seminar, Judges Night, Holiday Party, Litigation Seminar, and our Annual Meeting & Awards.  We will also be planning a few 1-hour, virtual CLEs/judicial roundtables covering various legal topics throughout the year.  Stay tuned for more information!

Starting July 18th, our Board meetings will be held the third Monday of every month.  Minutes will be posted to the website.  If you would like to view an agenda or review the current financials of the WCBA, please feel free to email us.  Please add waukeshabar@gmail.com to your address book, and keep an eye out for email updates on our upcoming events.

I am looking forward to another great year together!

AnnMarie Sylla
